The purpose of this website, blog and the associated Facebook page, is to raise awareness of particular Christian organizations, ministries, movements, and "revivals" along with their accompanying signs and wonders, as well as the unbiblical theology and doctrines that are being taught in many of these churches and ministries today. Much of this has really come about in significant ways in the last 100 years (although this kind of deception is nothing new). These things are widespread and have infiltrated so much of what we consider to be true Christianity today. This has grown and progressed to such an extent that it is difficult to know where to start. As such, I ask that you please be patient with me as I share information and attempt to explain things. This site is going to be primarily a collection of resources, with links to articles, audio and video on various ministries, churches, organizations and leaders who are caught up in various forms of deception. Please also be aware that there will be a lot of overlapping material. This is because many of these ministries, churches, organizations and leaders are very much connected. This truly is a web of spiritual deception we are facing in Christianity today. I will share more of my thoughts and concerns about particular aspects of all of this on my Blog.
Now, I need to clarify some extremely important points straightaway. Whatever I share on this website is the result of careful research (which is ongoing), much prayer (which is also ongoing) and a continued effort to search the Scriptures, testing all things. (And I encourage each and every Christian to do the same, as the Bible tells us we must do. - 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 Also, let me be absolutely clear; I am in no way claiming that everyone involved with these churches, organizations, ministries and movements has been deceived and led astray, and I am certainly not claiming that there are no true Christians involved. I am not even claiming that those who lead and teach these deceiving doctrines and actively promote them aren't true Christians. There are many who may truly be unaware of just how unbiblical these things are. As such, we should keep these leaders and their churches, ministries and organisations in our prayers. Furthermore, I am not seeking to condemn anyone, but to "speak the truth in love." - Ephesians 4:15. Having said that, I freely admit that I do not get everything right, nor do I have perfect understanding in all things. As such, I am always open to correction, discussion and continued growth in my life as a follower of Jesus Christ. I am no better than anyone else, and I thank Jesus, my Saviour for His love and forgiveness.
Please do not take my word only in regard to what is shared here. (Quite frankly, you don't have to take my word for it at all, this isn't about me and I am not making some claim to inerrant truth. I am not perfect, I do not fully understand everything, I know that very well.) Please read the Bible, and pray for guidance and discernment from the Holy Spirit in all things, and please look into these matters for yourself. We all have the responsibility to remain vigilant in everything that we see, read and hear.
As Paul writes in Ephesians:
"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." - Ephesians 6:10-12
So, please understand, I am not condemning people, and I am not, nor will I ever be anyone's judge. God alone knows each and every heart and He alone will judge the living and the dead. What I am doing is seeking to point out major concerns, false teachings/doctrines and spiritual deception, because it is the "spiritual forces of evil" that we as Christians are to take a stand against, not people. My hope is simply that all Christians would turn to the word of God and earnestly seek discernment and guidance from Him. This has always been necessary, and continues to be in these often dark and confusing times. There are false messiahs, false prophets and false signs and wonders that we are told (by Jesus Himself) will lead many astray. - Matthew 24:24
As I have studied this, read the Bible and prayed (all of which I will continue to do, of course) I have become deeply grieved and heartbroken over what I see going on in so much of Christianity today. I take none of it lightly, this is extremely serious, and I care deeply about all of the people who are caught up in these churches, organizations, ministries and movements. Jesus warned us about such things happening as the end comes near, so that we would not be led astray. Please, look into and carefully research all these things for yourself, remain vigilant and pray, and turn to the Holy Bible, testing all you see, read or hear (including on this website) by God's inspired word. The Bible is the only source of inerrant truth that we have.
